Manfred Christ (born February 18, 1940 in Aschaffenburg ) is a German CSU politician . From 1990 to 2008 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Life

After reaching the intermediate certificate at the secondary school Aschaffenburg In 1958 and 1961 an apprenticeship as a machinist . This was followed by another apprenticeship as an industrial clerk until 1964. From 1969 he was authorized representative and authorized signatory in an industrial company. From 1983 until his parliamentary mandate in 1990 he was self-employed. Manfred Christ has been married since 1964 and has three grown and married children and four grandchildren.

He joined the CSU in June 1958. Christ was a member of the Junge Union from 1958 to 1976 and was district and district board member in the JU. In 1972 he became a member of the city ​​council of Aschaffenburg. From 1974 to 2003 Manfred Christ was the local chairman of the CSU Aschaffenburg Mitte. From 1979 he was the deputy chairman of the CSU parliamentary group in the council and from 1979 to 1990 also press spokesman.

Since 1990 he sat in the Bavarian state parliament for the constituency of Lower Franconia (later for the constituency West / Aschaffenburg and the surrounding area ). He was no longer available for election to the state parliament in Bavaria in 2008 .
