Manfred Duchrow (born December 5, 1943 in Cottbus ) is a former German football player in the defense . He played for BSG Energie Cottbus in the GDR league .
Career
Duchrow played in his youth at his hometown club BSG Lokomotive Cottbus , where he appeared as a goalscorer. In 1963 he moved to ASK Vorwärts Cottbus because of his military service . In 1969 Duchrow was obliged by BSG Energie Cottbus, so that he first appeared in the GDR energy league in the 1969/70 season. This season he came to a remarkable 28 appearances and scored two goals. Also in the following two seasons Duchrow was often used with 26 and 22 games. During this time he scored seven goals. With the GDR Football League season 1972/73 , the BSG Energie Cottbus was promoted to the GDR league. However, Duchrow was only used twice there. After relegation, he played twelve games for Cottbus before ending his playing career in 1975.
After that, Duchrow initially worked for a year as the coach of the second team at BSG Energie Cottbus, which was followed by several positions in the youth teams. From 1980 to 1983 he was again coach of the reserve team before he was appointed as assistant coach for the first team in 1984. He held this position during the terms of office of Dieter Schulz , Rudi Speer , Günther Guttmann , Fritz Bohla and Timo Zahnleiter . Then Duchrow was still involved from 1994 to 1995 at SV Wacker 09 Cottbus-Ströbitz. During this time Cottbus played four seasons in the GDR major league.
