Manfred Engelmann

Manfred Engelmann (born July 2, 1956 in Periam (German: Perjamosch ), People's Republic of Romania ) is a German master’s degree and federal cultural advisor for the Banat Swabian Landsmannschaft . Manfred Engelmann lives in Bonn .

life and work

Manfred Engelmann is the son of the teacher Franz Engelmann and the teacher Anna Engelmann, geb. Krummenacker. His older brother is the poet Uwe Erwin Engelmann .

After primary school, Engelmann attended the Nikolaus Lenau Lyceum in Timișoara . In 1973 he moved to the Federal Republic of Germany , where he graduated from a grammar school in Siegen . He then completed his studies in German, geography and educational science at the University of Bonn , with the 1st state examination in 1983 and the Magister in 1984. This was followed by a doctoral degree on the dialect of Saderlach in the Banat . After working at the Institute for Educational Science at the University of Bonn, he became Federal Cultural Advisor for the Landsmannschaft of Banat Swabians in 1987 . Manfred Engelmann is known for numerous publications in text and image, u. a. he has an extensive collection of slides entitled Southeast Europe .
