Manfred Felke (born July 3, 1943 ) was a football player in the GDR Oberliga , the highest football class of the East German Football Association. He played there for BSG Lokomotive Stendal and 1. FC Magdeburg .

Career

At the age of 18, Felke played for Lok Stendal during the 1961/62 season in the major league and, having completed 28 point games, was already part of the extended regular squad. After relegation and promotion he was part of the real player base in the 1963/64 season, when he played in all positions of the defense, playing 25 of the 26 league point games. On April 30, 1966 Felke experienced his career high point with reaching the final of the FDGB Cup . However, the Stendaler Chemie Leipzig lost 0: 1, which means that Felke, who had been called up as right-back in this encounter, was denied a title. From the 1966/67 season he temporarily moved into the midfield of the Stendal and with nine goals in two years became the third-best goalscorer of his team within this period. However, in 1968 he was unable to prevent the Stendal from being relegated to the second-rate GDR league .

When Lok Stendal missed promotion in 1969, Felke moved to the league for the reigning cup winner 1. FC Magdeburg . Here he could not prevail in the league team and only completed six point games (1 goal), of which he only played the full 90 minutes twice. He was used much more often in the second team of the club, for which the defensive all-rounder played 16 games (3 hits) in the northern season of the league. After the end of the 1969/70 season, Felke returned to BSG Lok Stendal, which still played in the second-rate GDR league. In Stendal he finally ended his active career, with Felke in the 1972/73 season (11 games / 2 goals) for the last time in the league representation.
