Manfred Grabler (born May 27, 1947 in St. Johann im Pongau ) is a former ski racer from Austria who competed for the Australian Ski Association. His specialty was downhill .

biography

Grabler emigrated to Australia in 1969 and joined the Australian Ski Association. He later returned to Austria, but continued to run for Australia. He achieved his first points in the World Cup on December 18, 1973 in the downhill from Zell am See . Behind the Austrian Karl Cordin and the Swiss Roland Collombin , he took third place at the same time as Peter Feyrsinger and Josef Walcher . This was also his best World Cup result. In January 1974 he came ninth in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and was twelfth in the Downhill World Cup in the 1973/74 season . At the 1974 World Championships in St. Moritz he was sixth in the downhill, in the giant slalom he was eliminated in the first round. In the 1974/75 season he came in the runs from Val-d'Isère , St. Moritz and Garmisch-Partenkirchen also among the top ten and finished 13th in the final downhill classification. From 1975 he took part in professional ski races in the United States . Grabler then entered the fashion industry and founded a specialty shop for promotional textiles in 1981.
