Manfred Isemeyer

Manfred Isemeyer (born June 10, 1948 in Kiel ) is a German political scientist , publicist and humanist .

Life

Isemeyer was born into a Catholic family. After attending grammar school, he completed a degree in social pedagogy at the Kiel University of Applied Sciences and then a degree in political science at the Free University of Berlin , which he graduated with a diploma in political science. He then worked as a social worker for the Berlin- Spandau district office.

He then worked as a manager at the Falken .

From 1983 he was managing director of the Freethinkers Association Berlin, which was later renamed the Humanist Association Berlin and whose management he took over for many years. Until 2014 he was later also chairman of the board of the Humanist Association Berlin-Brandenburg . The association in Berlin-Brandenburg is the sponsor of over 60 social, cultural and educational projects and facilities and has around 1100 full-time and over 1000 volunteer employees.

Manfred Isemeyer is currently chairman of the board of the "Humanism Foundation Berlin". He also writes as a member of the Presidium for the Humanist Press Service . He is married, has one child and lives in Berlin.
