Manfred Maussner

Manfred Maussner (also Maußner , * 1938 in Nuremberg ; † December 20, 2008 Tiefenbach ) was a German painter.

Vita

Maussner was born in Nuremberg in 1938. He studied at the art academies in Nuremberg and Amsterdam and worked as an art teacher for many years. He lived and worked in Immenstadt in the Allgäu and was married to the artist Edith Baumann .

Manfred Maussner was chairman of the Professional Association of Visual Artists (BBK) Schwaben-Süd from 1994 to 2005 . He organized exhibitions, initiated themed exhibitions and studio days and was a co-founder of the art exhibition Die Südliche . He was also the initiator and organizer of the 1st International Mail ART exhibition in the Literaturhaus Allgäu in 2008 (with cultural advisor Harald Dreher) .

style

In addition to etchings from earlier years, he has for years concentrated on color woodcuts , where he combined archaic symbols, personal ciphers, elements of architecture and nature and fine-tuned them in color.

Exhibitions

Maussner had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Holland, Austria, Italy, Spain, England, France, as well as in Germany. He also exhibited his work at the art exhibition Die Südliche annually from 2003 to 2008.
