Manfred Pesditschek

Manfred Pesditschek (born February 10, 1944 in Hahnenklee-Bockswiese ; † June 1, 2015 in Braunschweig ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Manfred Pesditschek attended elementary and middle school in Braunschweig and obtained secondary school leaving certificate . He then completed training as a physics laboratory assistant at PTB Braunschweig and attended an engineering school in Lübeck. He graduated in 1966 as a graduate engineer (specializing in physical technology). After two years of military service, he became an officer in the reserve. At the same time he studied physics in Braunschweig and passed his physics diploma examination in 1975, became a trainee lawyer and finally passed the second state examination in 1977. Since then he has worked as a teacher in adult education at the Braunschweig College . From 1997 until his retirement in 2009, he was the principal of the Ricarda-Huch-Schule in Braunschweig.

politics

In 1970 Manfred Pesditschek joined the SPD and was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (1978–1986) as well as a member of the association assembly of the special purpose association for the greater Braunschweig area , where he was most recently chairman of the committee for regional transport. Manfred Pesditschek was for a long time a member of the City Council of Braunschweig (1972–1978, 1986–2001, 2006–2015) and from 2007 until shortly before his death in 2015 he was also chairman of the SPD parliamentary group.

As part of his local political activities, Manfred Pesditschek was a member of the supervisory board of the Braunschweiger Verkehrs-Gesellschaft and chairman of the supervisory board of the Stadthallen-Betriebsgesellschaft.
