Manfred Maria Porsch (born April 14, 1950 in Vienna ) is a composer of the Austrian New Spiritual Song , teacher and school developer.

Teacher

Manfred Porsch graduated from the teacher training institute in Vienna in 1977 and then worked as a teacher at integrated comprehensive schools and secondary schools. At the same time, he became a lecturer at the Pedagogical Institute. Until 2014 he worked in the Federal Coordination Center for School Cultural Work at the PH Vienna .

He is one of the pioneers of in- school teacher training (Schilf).

Manfred Porsch comes from the Focolare Movement . In 1971 and 1972 he toured with Gen Rosso . In 1983 he won first prize at the World Festival of Religious Song, the Rassegna Mondiale della Canzone Religosa Populare in Rome. As a result, Manfred Porsch founded the Musica e Vita Austria association in 1987 and initiated the festival series Fest der Lieder . He published about 200 songs on over 20 records.

After a long musical break, Porsch went public again in 2012 with new productions in collaboration with Thomas Raber.
