Manfred Schweigkofler (* 1962 ) is a South Tyrolean creative director , director and cultural manager .

In addition to his training, he was already the singer and front man of the South Tyrolean cult band Mad Puppet. He studied German and history in Innsbruck. From 1985 to 1992 he was a spokesperson for the RAI state radio.

He founded the Bozen cabaret scene in 1989, headed the first cabaret in Bozen, co-founded the United Theaters in Bozen in 1992 and co-founded the Carambolage theater in 1996 . In 1996 he was also the ideator and co-founder of the “ Musical School ”, which he himself directed for many years.

From 2001 to 2012 he headed the Bolzano City Theater , which under his directorship experienced an upswing that was also recognized internationally. From 2002 to 2012 Manfred Schweigkofler was also general director and artistic director of the international dance festival Tanz Bozen Bolzano Danza .

He has designed and organized over 700 events, including many corporate events and opening shows.

For the world exhibitions in Hanover (2000) and in Milan (2015) he was the responsible department general commissioner for South Tyrol, as well as curator and creative director of the LUMEN Museum for Mountain Photography, which opened in 2019, at Kronplatz near Bruneck .

He is also a lecturer and seminar leader on the subject of creativity.
