The Manilla River is a river in the north of the Australian state of New South Wales . It is a tributary of the Namoi River and, despite its name, is listed as a stream on the Geographical Names Board of New South Wales .

The Manilla River drains part of the hill country in the western part of the New England Highlands and the southern slopes of the Nandewar Range . It flows first to the north, then a little to the east and finally to the south through Barraba . At Manilla it flows into the Namoi River.

The Split Rock Reservoir is located on the Manilla River about 10  km north of Manilla. It is an important water reservoir in the catchment area of ​​the Namoi River to prevent flooding and ensure land irrigation.
