Manius Acilius Glabrio (Consul 152)
Manius Acilius Glabrio Gnaeus Cornelius Severus was a Roman politician and senator .
Glabrio was either born as Gnaeus Cornelius Severus and adopted by Manius Acilius Glabrio , Consul 124, or took over the name Gnaeus Cornelius Severus from his mother. His son Manius Acilius Glabrio became consul in 186.
Before his consulate, Glabrio was a legate of the province of Creta et Cyrene and, in the early 1940s, a legate, probably under his father, in Africa ; then he held the bursary , praetur and the tribunate of the people . Two military diplomas, dated March 1, 152, prove that Glabrio 152 was full consul with Marcus Valerius Homullus . Between 164 and 167 he was finally Legate of the Province of Asia .
