The Manjū Rock ( Japanese ま ん じ ゅ う 岩 Manjū-iwa for 'knot rock ', Norwegian Bollen ) is a prominent rocky outcrop on the Crown Prince Olav coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . The rock looms halfway between the Tama Glacier and Tama Point .
He was mapped and photographed by participants in the Japanese Antarctic expedition, which lasted from 1957 to 1962, and who also named him. In 1968, the US Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred the Japanese name to English.
