Shelby attended high school in Missouri City , Texas . He later attended the University of Utah .

NFL

Miami Dolphins

Shelby signed a contract with the Miami Dolphins on May 4, 2012 after he was not included in the 2012 NFL Draft . On October 6, 2014, Shelby was suspended after he was arrested for sexual harassment at a Fort Lauderdale , Florida nightclub . On October 13, 2014, he was reinstated in the squad. On December 6, 2015, in the game against the Baltimore Ravens , he scored a touchdown after an interception . The game was won by 15:13.

Atlanta Falcons

On March 9, 2016, Shelby signed a four-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons . On October 18, 2016, he was placed on the Injured Reserve List . The Falcons qualified for the Super Bowl LI , which they lost to the New England Patriots 34:28. Shelby was unable to take part in the game due to his injury.
