Mann Page (* 1749 in Gloucester County , Colony of Virginia , † 1781 in Spotsylvania County , Virginia ) was an American politician . In 1777 he was a delegate for Virginia to the Continental Congress .

Career

Mann Page was the younger brother of John Page (1743-1808), who was a congressman for Virginia and from 1802 to 1805 held the office of governor there. Page was born on the Rosewell family estate and initially received private tuition. He then graduated from the College of William & Mary . After studying law and becoming a lawyer, he began to work in this profession. He later built his own plantation in Spotsylvania County, which he named Mannsfield . In the 1770s he joined the revolutionary movement and became a member of the Virginia House of Representatives . In 1777 he represented his state in the Continental Congress. He died on his Spotsylvania County plantation in 1781.
