The list of the team cadres of the Swiss 1st Bundesliga in Chess 2000 contains all players who were used in the Swiss Chess Bundesliga 2000 at least once.
ASK Winterthur and SK Aarau managed with 11 players each, while Nimzowitsch Zurich had 19 players contest at least one competition. A total of 113 players were used, 20 of whom took part in all competitions.
Players from 3 nations were used; in addition to Swiss, six Germans and one Romanian competed.
The best individual result was achieved by Peter Zimmermann (Luzern Musegg) with 6 points from 6 games, Florian Jenni (ASK Winterthur) and Max Scherer (SV Birsfelden / Beider Basel) achieved the same number of points from 7 games, and Sacha Georges (ASK Winterthur) scored half a point ) and Jean-Luc Costa (SV Birsfelden / Beider Basel), where Georges played 6 games, Costa 7. Apart from Peter Zimmermann, Bruno Nideröst (Luzern Musegg), Ralph Bauert (SV Wollishofen), Stephane Kellenberger (SK Bern), René Hirzel (ASK Winterthur), Roland Schmid, Markus Möschinger and Beat Jekel (all Basel BVB) another seven players 100% of the possible points, but they only played one game each (apart from Nideröst, who was used twice). The oldest player of the season was Charles Partos (* 1936), who played for SV Birsfelden / Beider Basel, and the youngest player was Severin Papa, born in 1985 (ASK Winterthur).
