Manor View Motors was the first manufacturer of automobiles from the island of Guernsey . Decades later, another company followed with Bouillot Helsel .

Company history

Leslie Le Tessier founded the company in Castel in 1956 and began producing automobiles. The brand name was MVM . Production ended in the same year. A total of three vehicles were built.

The only model was a small sports car . The first two copies had a two-cylinder two - stroke in - line engine from the British Anzani Motor Company with a displacement of 325 cc and 18 hp , which was installed in the rear. The third vehicle had a four-cylinder engine from Coventry Climax with a displacement of 1100 cc. The base was a tubular frame. An open two-seater body made of plastic was mounted on top. This car could not really establish itself on the market.
