Mansuar ( Indonesian Pulau Mansuar ) is an island in the Raja Ampat archipelago off the coast of western New Guinea ( Indonesia ).

geography

Mansuar is located in the north of Raja Ampat, in the Dampierstrasse , northwest of the Vogelkop peninsula of New Guinea . To the north are the islands of Gam and Waigeo , to the south of Batanta and to the west of the Faminseln . The islands of Kri and Koh are just off the eastern tip of Mansuar . To the south and north of Mansuar there are numerous other small islands and reefs.

On Mansuar are the villages of Yembekwan in the west and Yenbuba in the east, which belong to the Meosmanswar district . The archipelago forms the administrative district of Raja Ampat in the province of West Papua . The island of Kri belongs administratively to Yenbuba.

Residents

According to the 2010 census, there were 287 people in Yembekwan and 252 in Yenbuba.
