Manu Wüst

Manuela "Manu" Wüst (born September 27, 1953 in Thalwil ; † May 25, 2010 ) was a Swiss journalist . From 1991 to 1996 she was the program director of DRS 3 and the first woman on the top management body of Swiss Radio DRS .

Life

Wüst was from 1979 to 1981 as a production manager and Personaldisponentin at the Zurich film production company Condor Films and then as a freelance production manager operates. At DRS 3, she completed a two-year stage in the background program “Input” from 1984 onwards . Afterwards she worked for the Swiss Radio DRS as an editor and presenter in various programs. In 1990 she was appointed producer of DRS 3 and in 1991 program director.

1996 left Wüst Swiss Radio DRS and set out with their own consulting firm in the field of media relations, sponsorship and promotion independently . At the same time, she worked as a freelancer for newspapers and magazines. In between, from 2005 to 2007, she worked as an editor of the regional edition left Zurichseeufer of the Tages-Anzeiger before she devoted herself to her independent work again.

She died of cancer on May 25, 2010. She was buried where she lived in Thalwil. On June 4, 2010, over 400 people met at the abdication in St. Peter's Church in Zurich.
