Manuel Earnshaw (born November 19, 1862 in Cavite , †  February 13, 1936 in Manila ) was a Filipino politician . Between 1913 and 1917 he represented the Philippines as a Resident Commissioner in the United States House of Representatives .

Career

Manuel Earnshaw attended the Ateneo de Manila and the Nauti School , also in Manila. Then he worked as an engineer. He became the founder and president of Earnshaw Slipways & Engineering Co. In 1912 he was elected as an independent candidate by the Philippine legislature as a non-voting delegate to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC , where he succeeded Benito on March 4, 1913 Legarda took up his new mandate. He was able to exercise this office until March 3, 1917. In 1916 he renounced another candidacy.

After the end of his time in the US House of Representatives, Manuel Earnshaw resumed his previous activities until 1921. After that, he retired. He died in Manila on February 13, 1936.
