Isauro Gabaldon (born December 8, 1875 in San Isidro , †  December 21, 1942 in Manila ) was a Filipino politician . Between 1920 and 1928 he represented the Philippines as a Resident Commissioner in the United States House of Representatives .

Career

Isauro Gabaldon attended the public schools in the Spanish Tébar . There he also graduated from other schools. After studying law in Madrid and at the University of Santom Thomas in Manila and being admitted to the bar in 1900, he worked in this profession between 1903 and 1906. Politically, he became a member of the Nacionalista Party . In 1906 and between 1912 and 1916 he was governor of Nueva Ecija Province . From 1907 to 1911 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines ; between 1916 and 1919 he was a member of the local Senate .

In 1920 Gabaldon was elected by the Philippine legislature as a non-voting delegate for three years to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC , where he succeeded Teodoro R. Yangco on March 4, 1920 . After two re-elections, he could remain in Congress until his resignation on July 16, 1928 . In 1934 and 1935 he was again a member of the Philippine House of Representatives. He died on December 21, 1942 in Manila, where he was also buried.
