Manuel Kubli (born April 9, 1995 ) is a Swiss football player who has been under contract with FC Rapperswil-Jona since the 2017/18 season .

Career

Manuel Kubli played for FC Engstringen in his youth and moved to the youth department of Grasshopper Club Zurich at the age of 11. For the 2014/15 season he was accepted into the first team, but was loaned to FC Rapperswil-Jona a short time later until the end of the season. The following season he made his debut for the Grasshoppers on matchday four against FC Lugano when he was substituted on for Shani Tarashaj in a 6-1 win in the 82nd minute when the score was 5-1 . Until the end of the season he was not used in the first team due to a cruciate ligament rupture , but still played a few games for the U21 team. For the 2016/17 season , Kubli was loaned to FC Rapperswil-Jona again, where he made a total of 18 appearances and scored one goal. At the end of the season, the team celebrated their first promotion to the Challenge League .
