Manuela Söller-Winkler

Manuela Söller-Winkler (* 10. August 1961 in Bonn as Manuela upper chamber ) is a German administrative lawyer and Secretary of State a. D. in the Ministry of the Interior of Schleswig-Holstein .

biography

After attending school in Hammelburg and Landau / Pfalz with Abitur in 1980, Manuela Söller-Winkler studied law in Mainz and Erlangen and passed the second state examination in 1991. She entered the Schleswig-Holstein civil service and held various positions in the Ministry of the Interior. In 2008 she was appointed head of department in the Ministry of the Interior. In a part-time position, she worked for Schleswig-Holstein as the regional returning officer for around 10 years.

Söller-Winkler has been a member of the SPD since 2012 . Her husband is the former marine spokesman Achim Winkler .

In 2012, she narrowly defeated her competitor Susanne Gaschke in the second ballot (145 to 143 votes) in the decision for the SPD candidacy for mayor election in Kiel .

From September 2014 to June 2017, she served in the Albig cabinet as State Secretary in the Ministry of the Interior and Federal Affairs of the State of Schleswig-Holstein.

Manuela Söller-Winkler has been working as a freelance consultant for public administration and elections since October 2017. She is currently advising in particular the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH on projects to support the decentralization reform and to strengthen local administration in Ukraine and Pakistan.

The Schleswig-Holstein regional association of the White Ring elected her to the honorary office of state chairman in August 2018.
