Manuela Strube (born Schmahl ; born January 27, 1980 in Kassel ) is a German politician of the SPD and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

Life

Manuela Strube completed her school attendance in 1996 with the secondary school leaving certificate at the Theodor-Heuss-Schule in Baunatal- Altenbauna . After training as a specialist in employment promotion, she worked from 1999 at the Kassel Employment Agency and from 2005 at the Kassel City Job Center.

Strube is married, has two children and lives in Baunatal .

politics

Strube has been a member of the SPD since 2005. From 2011 to 2019 she was chairwoman of the SPD local association Baunatal- Kirchbauna . Since 2017 she has been chairwoman of the SPD city association Baunatal. Since April 2016 she has been a voluntary councilor for the city of Baunatal.

Manuela Strube has been a member of the Hessian state parliament since November 1, 2017. She moved up as a substitute candidate for Timon Gremmels in the state parliament. There she became a member of the Committee on Environment, Climate Protection, Agriculture and Consumer Protection and the Petitions Committee. In the state elections on October 28, 2018, she defended the direct mandate of the SPD in the Kassel-Land II constituency with the country's best SPD first vote result of 37.1 percent.

Since the beginning of the 20th electoral term (January 18, 2019), Strube has been chairman of the petitions committee and a member of the cultural policy committee. She is also the spokeswoman for the North Hessian SPD members of the state parliament.
