history
Kirchbauna was first mentioned in 1123, as Archbishop Adalbert I of Mainz the Hasungen Abbey confirmed donations in Aldenbune and Kilechbune (Kirchbauna).
The village is dominated by the Kirchbauna Evangelical Church . It was built in 1773 on the site where the dilapidated chapel was previously.
