Hertingshausen is a district of Baunatal in the district of Kassel in northern Hesse (Germany) with 1406 inhabitants (2019) spread over an area of 3.47 km².

Hertingshausen is located in the Habichtswald Nature Park . The federal highway 49 separates the place from the industrial area .
history
Hertingshausen was mentioned in the founding deed of Hasungen Monastery in 1081 as an interest-bearing property under the name of Hertingeshusen at the time.
On the road called Junkermeierhof , the history of the farm is told on a board that the Meier (administrators) ran for the Junkers (knights).
At a small wood called Pfarrholz north of the district road 22 to Grossenritte stands an approximately 2 m high, wedge-shaped menhir as evidence of pre-Christian settlement . It can be compared to the menhir in Großerritte.
