María Paula Tovar Pérez (born August 5, 1998 in Bogotá ) is a Colombian squash player .

Career

María Tovar has already played a few times on the PSA World Tour . She reached her highest place in the world rankings with rank 200 in June 2019. At the world championships in doubles, she finished fourth in 2019 with her sister Laura . In 2018, she and Laura Tovar were runner-up in the Pan American double championship and won gold at the South American Games . In the latter, she also secured gold in the team competition and bronze in the individual. In the same year, María and Laura Tovar were also victorious in the Central American and Caribbean Games and finished second with the team. At the Pan American Games in 2019 , she won a medal in doubles with her sister , this time bronze. In addition, she secured bronze with the team .
