Iza Daniela Flores Hernández (born May 6, 1994 ) is a Mexican athlete who specializes in sprinting .

Athletic career

Daniela Flores gained her first international experience at the Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships (CACAC) 2012 in San Salvador , where she finished fourth in the 200-meter run in 24.79 s and over 100 meters in 12.29 s reached six. So she qualified in both competitions for the Junior World Championships in Barcelona , where she was eliminated in the first round with 12.28 s and 24.27 s. The following year she retired from the CAC Championships in Morelia with 11.76 s and 24.25 s in the preliminary round and finished fifth with the Mexican 4 x 100 meter relay in 45.72 s. Then she was at the Pan American Junior Championships in Medellín in 24.32 s seventh over 200 meters and retired in the 100-meter run with 12.13 s in the lead. In 2014, at the U23 NACAC Championships in Kamloops , she was fifth over 100 meters in 12.09 s and sixth over 200 meters in 24.20 s. She then classified herself at the Central America and Caribbean Games in Xalapa in 23.92 s in fifth place over 200 meters and was eliminated over the shorter distance with 11.86 s in the lead. In addition, she reached sixth place with the relay in 45.36 s. Two years later she was at the U23 NACAC Championships in San Salvador in 23.86 s fifth over 200 meters and eliminated over 100 meters with 12.23 s in the first round.

In 2017 she took part in the Summer Universiade in Taipei for the first time and reached the quarter-finals over 100 meters, in which she was eliminated with 11.99 seconds. In addition, she was disqualified over 200 meters in the first round and with the relay she finished fourth in 44.79 s. Two years later she was eighth over 200 meters in 23.64 s at the Student World Games in Naples and reached the semifinals over 100 meters, in which she was eliminated with 11.79 s. With the relay she landed again in fourth place after 44.82 s.

In 2013 and 2014 and from 2016 to 2018, Flores was the Mexican champion in the 100 and 200-meter run and in 2013 and 2018 also in the 4-by-100-meter relay .
