María Victoria Woodward (born November 30, 1991 ) is an Argentine sprinter .

Athletic career

María Victoria Woodward gained her first experience at international championships in 2009 at the Junior South American Championships in São Paulo , where she finished fifth in the 100-meter run in 12.09 s before she was 11 at the Pan-American Junior Championships in Port of Spain . Eliminated in the preliminary round for 90 s. The following year she took part in the Junior World Championships in Moncton , but also retired there with 12.25 s in the lead. In 2012 she won the bronze medal over 100 meters at the U23 South American Championships in São Paulo in 11.88 seconds and also as part of the Argentine 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 58.86 minutes. In 2013 she took part in the South American Championships in Cartagena for the first time , where she finished sixth over 100 meters with 11.87 s and was eliminated in the first lap of the 200-meter run with 24.93 s. In 2014 she was sixth over 100 meters in 11.78 s at the South American Games in Santiago de Chile and was eliminated in the preliminary round over 200 meters with 24.61 s. She then finished fourth and sixth at the Ibero-American Championships in São Paulo, as well as at the Pan American Sports Festival in Mexico City .

At the 2015 South American Athletics Championships in Lima , she was eliminated with 12.08 s in the run-up and in 2017 at the South American Championships in Luque with 11.46 s , she finished sixth over 100 meters and was eliminated over 200 meters with 24.22 s first round off. In addition, she finished fifth in the 4 x 100 meter relay in 46.14 s. In 2018 she was seventh at the South American Games in Cochabamba with 11.77 s and the following year she finished sixth over 100 meters at the South American Championships in Lima with 11.70 s and was eliminated over 200 meters with 24.32 s the preliminary round. In addition, she won the bronze medal behind the teams from Brazil and Colombia with the relay in 45.65 s. She then took part in the Pan American Games in Lima over 100 meters , but was eliminated there with 12.01 s in the lead. In 2020 she won the bronze medal in the 60-meter run behind the Brazilian Rosângela Santos and Natalia Linares from Colombia at the South American Indoor Championships in Cochabamba, which were held for the first time .

In 2010 and 2013, 2014 and 2016 and 2019, Woodward was the Argentine champion in the 100-meter run and in 2013 over the 200 meters. In 2019, she also won the 4 x 100 meter relay.
