Marcão , real name Marcos Alberto Skavinski (born March 28, 1975 in Curitiba ), is a former Brazilian soccer player .

Career

The 1.86 tall left defender began his career in 1991 with the youth club Coritiba FC , he was under contract for two seasons. He achieved national fame through his defense at the club EC Juventude . From 2004 to 2007 he was under contract with the Athletico Paranaense club . He completed 72 league games and scored one goal. He was the club's captain in 2004 and 2005 before being loaned to Ittihad FC and Kawasaki Frontale . In the 2007/08 season he moved to the club SC Internacional . The National Commission on Doping Controls announced that the doping control carried out in August 2007 was positive and the substance is banned. In 2011 he terminated his contract with Goiás EC and ended his career.
