Marc Antoine

Marc Antoine (* 28. May 1963 in Paris , France ) is a French smooth jazz - guitarist . He has released numerous albums and played with Dave Koz , Chris Botti , Jeff Lorber and other musicians. Antoine's style is mainly characterized by the use of the classical guitar, which he plays with classic finger technique. Along with Earl Klugh and Peter White, he is one of the acoustic guitarists of the genre.

Career

Born in Paris , Marc Antoine began playing guitar at the age of 11 and initially studied classical guitar before moving to London in 1988. In London, Antoine was part of the acid jazz scene and was guitarist in Basia Trzetrzelewska's band . In 1990 he moved to Los Angeles , where he played as a studio musician for Sting , Rod Stewart and Cher, among others . There Antoine worked as a guitarist for soundtracks of film productions. In 1994 he released his first own album entitled "Classic Soul". Further albums followed on GRP Records and other record companies. In 2010 Antoine founded his own record label Frazzy Frog Music and released his first independent CD "My classic Way", which he recorded in his own studio in Madrid , where he has been producing his own recordings since 2009. Marc Antoine's solo albums were featured on the Billboard Jazz charts.
