Marc Birkenbach (born February 12, 1987 in Dudweiler ) is a German soccer player . The goalkeeper has been playing for SV Saar 05 Saarbrücken since summer 2011 .

Career

Birkenbach played for 1. FC Saarbrücken from 2004 . At Saarbrücken, he mainly played in the second team, but also played 7 regional league games. In summer 2007 he went to Sportfreunde Siegen . In 2008 he moved to third division club SV Wehen Wiesbaden . In Wiesbaden, he played 10 third division games. He also played a DFB Cup game against VfL Wolfsburg . In 2010 he went to SV Elversberg . For this he only played three games. He also suffered a herniated disc there . His expiring contract was not extended. Therefore, in the summer of 2012, he moved to the association league for SV Saar 05 Saarbrücken.
