Marc Brucherseifer from Frechen studied business administration after completing his training as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant. During this time, he was a freelance consultant at L&M chains from 1985 to 1987. As a business graduate, he joined the Drillisch Group and worked as a freelance management consultant for the Treuhandanstalt, where he accompanied the restructuring of a sub-division of the Funkwerk-Köpenick Group , Berlin.

From 1994 he was part of the management of the Drillisch Group. At Drillisch , which was founded in 1997, he was the spokesman for the board and responsible for the areas of business customers, financial communication and workflow marketing. Before going public, he held almost 56% of the Drillisch shares. Until 2005 he was the company's board spokesman. From 2007 to 2017 he was a member of the supervisory board, from 2011 as its chairman. He and his wife Sabine, the daughter of Hans Jochen Drillisch, had rented offices to Drillisch in Cologne and Bad Münstereifel .

Since 2005 he has been managing partner of the holding company Colonia Private Equity GmbH . Since November 2005 he and Rainer Harzheim (born January 2, 1964) from Bad Münstereifel have been managing directors of the Gesellschaft für technical Kunststoffe mbH and GftK-international GmbH in Rheinbach . Around the same time he and the Dutchman Machiel Smits became managing directors of Great Wheel Holding GmbH , which was relocated from Düsseldorf to Cologne the following summer and renamed Colonia Projects GmbH .

Together with two other donors, he and his wife founded the Cölln Foundation at the beginning of 2012 . From March to November 2012 he was on the Board of Directors of Revox AG.

Commercial buildings in Bad Münstereifel had been empty for a long time. When the managing director of the Euskirchen clothing chain Robert Ley , Georg Cruse, came up with the idea of founding an outlet center in the city center while taking a winter walk in the Eifel , Brucherseifer and Harzheim got on board and bought numerous houses. In July 2011 they founded a retail estate management GmbH and announced their plan to the mayor in November. Due to parking problems, the opening was delayed to 2014.
