The Robert Ley women's and men's fashions GmbH & Co. KG is a clothing company based in Euskirchen and 22 branches in North Rhine-Westphalia , Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse . The company employs around 500 people and sells clothing under various branch concepts .

The Ley Group includes the Robert Ley fashion stores , city stores and outlets , Cruse Classics , the LEY'S branded fashion megastores , the outfitter Bertram & Frank , the boutiques Edda and Rosa , and the young fashion store Cube115 . The size of the branches varies from boutiques to 5000 m² megastores.

history

In 1893, the great-grandfather of the current company owner founded the Carl Ley cloth shop with an attached tailoring shop , from which a men's and boys' clothing store developed. In 1953, Robert Ley († July 22, 2016) took over his father's business and rebuilt the Euskirchen parent company , which had been badly damaged during the Second World War .

In the 1970s to 1990s, the company expanded and opened branches in Düren , Bonn , Düsseldorf and Cologne . On January 1, 1999, the former sole proprietorship was transformed into Robert Ley Damen- und Herrenmoden GmbH & Co. KG . Harry and Jochen Ley, Robert Ley's sons, have been shareholders since then.

Robert Ley Outlet, Bad Münstereifel

The fashion houses previously only located in the city centers were expanded to include Robert Ley Classic stores on the periphery. In 2003 Georg Cruse became co-managing director of the company and the 3500 m² fashion house Cruse Classics in Neuss was integrated into the company. In 2005, a LEY'S branded fashion megastore opened on over 2500 m² of sales area in the Frechen industrial park, in 2006 another clothing store in Mülheim-Kärlich with 3500 m² and in 2007 the company's largest megastore with 5000 m² in Weiterstadt . On March 6, 2014, the Ley Group opened a megastore in Münster . At five locations in Germany, the Ley Group offers clothing at reduced prices in so-called Robert Ley outlets .

Others

Until a few years ago, Robert Ley Damen- und Herrenmoden GmbH & Co. KG sold small editions of cloth goods that were made with old museum looms from the historic Müller cloth factory .
