Marc Heitmeier (born March 18, 1985 in Dortmund ) is a German soccer player who is currently without a club.

Career

Until 2004, Heitmeier played in the youth team of SG Lütgendortmund and Borussia Dortmund , then moved to Dortmund's second team, for whom he scored two goals in 46 games in the Regionalliga Nord . In the meantime, Heitmeier was in the Bundesliga squad of Borussia, but was not used. For the 2007/08 season, Heitmeier moved to the Oberliga Nord for SV Wilhelmshaven where he was able to score five goals in 32 league games. From the 2008/09 season he was under contract with third division Kickers Offenbach . Due to an injury, his debut in the third division only took place on matchday nine against Werder Bremen II. At OFC, Heitmeier earned a regular place in central defense and made 45 appearances.

After his contract expired, Heitmeier moved to the second division club FSV Frankfurt in the summer of 2010 , where he signed a two-year contract. There he was under coach Hans-Jürgen Boysen , who had already looked after him in Offenbach until October 2009, alongside Björn Schlicke as a regular in the central defense of the Bornheimers, made his debut at the start of the 2010/11 season against Arminia Bielefeld (2: 1) in the 2nd Bundesliga and justified its lineup in the first season games with solid performances. After an injury, Heitmeier had to take a break after the 9th matchday. In the second half of the season he was mainly used in defensive midfield. Also in the 2011/12 season Heitmeier played in the "6" position, here he competes with Yannick Stark for the place next to Samil Cinaz in the starting line-up. The strong duel Heitmeier came to 28 missions this season, 24 of them from the beginning. His contract, which expired at the end of the season, was extended early by two years to June 2014. For the 2014/15 season, he switched to the third division team Preußen Münster. Since July 2016 he has been under contract with FSV Frankfurt again.
