Marc Prensky
Marc Prensky ( Japanese マ ー ク ・ プ レ ン ス キ ー ; born March 15, 1946 in New York City ) is an American author, teacher and manager. He coined the term digital native and created works on digital forms of education, including a. on digital game-based learning .
Life
Prensky graduated from Oberlin College (1966), Yale University (1968), and Harvard Business School (1980). At the beginning of his professional activity he worked as a teacher and entrepreneur. He is currently working as an author and consultant.
Services
Prensky deals with the question of what modern forms of education can look like in the digital age. In 2001 he coined the terms digital native and digital immigrant with his essay "Digital Natives, Digital Immigrants".
