Career

Marcel Busch learned to play football at TSV Untereisesheim and VfR Heilbronn . For Heilbronn, he played in the second half of the 2000/01 season for the first time in the league team, which ended up third. But the following year it was no longer enough to stay in the league and in 2002 Busch switched to the regional league team VfR Aalen . He played there for three years as a regular in the defensive midfield, then he moved to SC Pfullendorf , where two more years followed in the lower regions of the regional league.

From 2007 Busch played for Rot Weiss Ahlen . In the first year he was a pillar of the team that was champions of the Regionalliga Nord and made it to the 2nd Bundesliga . After relegation to third division in 2010, Busch was team captain. In the summer of 2011, Busch moved within the league to SV Sandhausen and signed a contract until 2013. In his first season he was unable to assert himself there on the right side of defense and only made occasional appearances. In the end, however, the team reached first place and thus rose to the 2nd Bundesliga for the second time in his career. Busch only completed four missions there, after which he switched to the Regionalliga promoted SpVgg Neckarelz in the summer of 2013 . Two years later, Busch moved to Neckarsulmer Sport-Union , which plays in the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga .

After the end of his active career, Marcel Busch took over the coaching position there for the 2018/19 season.
