Marcel Gadacz (born May 13, 1988 in Berlin ) is a German rock and metal musician.

He is the singer of the Australian post-hardcore band Dream On, Dreamer and was a singer in the deathcore band State of East London from Melbourne from 2006 to 2009 .

Career

Marcel Gadacz was born on May 13, 1988 in Berlin and spent his childhood in a suburb of Berlin. He has a graduate degree in Graphic Design . In 2006 he moved to Melbourne, where he joined the deathcore band State of East London as a singer. With this he brought out the EP Animasitas , which was a great success for the band.

In 2009 he was replaced by Jason Davies. Then he founded the band Dream On, Dreamer in the same year , in which he is also active as a singer. With Dream On, Dreamer he has already released two EPs and three albums. He designed the cover for the 2013 album Loveless and wrote all the lyrics. Both albums reached chart entries in Australia.

Gadacz was also active in the hardcore punk band Francis Dolarhyde - with other Dream On today, dreamer musicians . The group existed between 2006 and 2009 and released a professionally recorded EP Viaears (2008). His first band was called The Diary Drama .

For the 2016 album Gravity by the metalcore band Caliban , Gadacz designed the front cover and took up a vocal part in Inferno .

Influences

Gadacz is a fan of Progressive Metal and Melodic Hardcore . His favorite bands include Cult of Luna , Poison the Well and The Getaway Plan .

His lyrics are written on a very personal basis and mostly deal with personal experiences.
