Marcel Grossmann Meeting

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Marcel Grossmann Meeting has existed since 1975, at which physicists and astronomers meet every three years . The meeting was named after the mathematician Marcel Grossmann . Current developments and advances in theoretical and experimental general relativity , gravitation and relativistic field theories are presented and discussed at these conferences . The mathematical basics, physical predictions and experimental tests are also highlighted. The aim of this meeting is to promote an exchange between the scientists, which in turn will deepen our understanding of the structures of space-time and show the state of the experiments with which one wants to verify Albert Einstein's theory of gravity on earth or in space.

A prize has been given at the meetings since 1985, the Marcel Grossmann Award .
