Marcel Lapierre

Marcel Lapierre (born April 17, 1950 - October 11, 2010 ) was a French winemaker .

Marcel Lapierre took over the family estate Domaine Des Chênes in Villié-Morgon in 1973 , and later the Château Cambon winery in St. Jean d'Ardières .

He was considered a pioneer of natural winemaking and, from 1981 with Jules Chauvet, developed today's modern methods, in particular the low-sulfur Beaujolais wines. Marcel Lapierre was a member of the AVN ( Association des Vins Naturels ).
