Marcel Unger
Marcel Unger (born June 6, 1985 ) is a German football referee .
Life
Unger lives in Hamburg and is a qualified business IT specialist . He works at the gas network Hamburg GmbH in the IT community operation of gas mains Hamburg and mains Hamburg as SAP - architect and project manager .
Unger passed his referee training at the age of 13 and has been whistling for the FSG '99 Salza-Nordhausen in Nordhausen since then . He made it to the Bundesliga within 12 years. He belongs to the Thuringian Football Association and from 2011 headed games in the second division and was an assistant in the first division . He has been whistling in the regional league since the 2014/2015 season and is a specialized assistant in the 2nd Bundesliga. For the 2019/2020 season, he was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga as an assistant. In total, he has completed over 150 games as an assistant in the professional area and has been a regular part of Bibiana Steinhaus' team .
Unger headed the 2008 and 2012 cup finals of the Thuringia Football Association and assisted in 2009 and 2016.
