Marcel Walz (born May 18, 1986 in Nuremberg ) is a German director , screenwriter and film producer from the field of independent film .

Life

Walz mainly devotes himself to films that are titled as Torture Porn . He first gained greater fame with the film La Petite Mort in 2009. Together with Michael Effenberger, he runs the label and production studio Matador-Film , with which he produces a large number of his films himself.

In 2014 Walz released Seed 2 - The New Breed, the sequel to Uwe Boll's horror film Seed from 2007. The film with Caroline Williams , Christa Campbell , Micaela Schäfer and Nick Principe was released in America as Blood Valley: Seed's Revenge . The remake of the splatter and gore film Blood Feast (1963) , which he is directing, has been announced for 2016 . The film was first screened in August 2016.

Private

Marcel Walz lived with his partner in Viernheim before the couple emigrated to Los Angeles in the summer of 2017 .
