Marcelino García Pérez
Marcelino García Pérez (born 1937 in Vilagarcía de Arousa , † April 5, 2020 in A Coruña ) was a Spanish football player .
Athletic career
García joined the then third division club Pontevedra CF in the late 1950s . With the club he rose to the Segunda División in 1960 , where the defender came to 20 league appearances in the following three years. While the team rose in the summer of 1963 for the first time in the club's history in the Primera División , he left the club in the direction of Racing de Ferrol . There he played from then on in the Tercera División .
In April 2020, García died at the age of 83 as a result of a SARS-CoV-2 infection.
