Marcello Trotta (born September 29, 1992 in Santa Maria Capua Vetere ) is an Italian football player .

Career

Trotta came to the SSC Naples youth academy near his hometown in 2004 . He attended this until 2008, but then moved to Manchester City to learn a different kind of football . After only a year he switched to the youth team at Fulham FC .

After he left the youth of Fulham in 2011 and was accepted into the professional squad, a loan deal to the Wycombe Wanderers followed , for whom he was able to score eight goals in eight league games. The loan to Watford FC in the first half of 2012 turned out to be less successful: Trotta only played one game. In order to enable him match practice, Trotta was then awarded to Brentford FC . After a good year and the narrowly missed promotion, Trotta was awarded another year to Brentford, this time he was a regular and regularly successful as a goalscorer. At the end of the season , the second place and the associated promotion to the Football League Championship were on the books.

He returned to Fulham for the 2014/15 season . There he is currently in the U-21 squad. On November 1, 2014, he was loaned to Barnsley FC until January 5, 2014 .

In 2015 Trott returned to Italy and switched to US Avellino 1912 . After one and a half seasons, the first division US Sassuolo Calcio signed him . Since he could not prevail there followed a loan deal with FC Crotone , which was renewed after a season.
