Marcelo Guerrero , full name Marcelo Fernando Guerrero Gorriarán , (born May 20, 1983 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

The 1.78-meter-tall offensive player Guerrero started his career in Apertura and Clausura 2002 at Villa Española in the first division squad. He played for Nacional Montevideo from the Apertura in 2003 until 2004, when he was also performed in the Torneo Clasificatorio of the Apertura . In Apertura 2004 and Clausura 2005 he ran in a total of 25 league games in the Argentine Primera División for the Racing Club de Avellaneda and scored seven goals. He then moved to Mexico to the San Luis Club . From the Apertura 2005 to the Apertura 2008 he played 89 games for the Mexicans and scored nine goals. In the Clausura 2009 there are four missions (no goal) at Colón de Santa Fe for Guerrero. In the 2009/10 season he was in the ranks of the Uruguayan first division defensor . For the Montevideans he scored four goals in ten games in the Primera División . A career station at Defensa y Justicia followed . There he was used 24 times in the Primera B Nacional in the 2010/11 season and hit the opposing goal once. He then played for Unión Temuco in 2011 , played in 14 league games and scored one goal. At the end of January 2012, he joined the Club Sportivo Cerritoan . For this he played 14 first division games in the 2011/12 season and scored three goals. In July 2012 he left the club for Guatemala , where he joined CSD Comunicaciones . By the time he returned to Cerrito in the early months of 2014, he had recorded 61 league games with ten goals for the Guatemalans and a goalless appearance in the Liga Campeones. For Cerrito he played nine games in the Segunda División and scored one goal. In July 2014, he allegedly rejoined Comunicaciones. However, this message was later not upheld. Since mid-January 2015 he has been in the ranks of the Uruguayan second division team Central Español and was used there nine times (one goal) in the Segunda División in the 2015 Clausura. In the 2015/16 season, four more second division appearances followed (no goal).

National team

In 2003 Guerrero was part of the Uruguayan U-20 selection that took part in the U-20 South American Championship in Uruguay in 2003 . In the course of the tournament he came at least in the games against Ecuador (January 5, 2003), Peru (January 7, 2003), Brazil (January 9, 2003), Bolivia (January 13, 2003, one goal) and Argentina (16. January 2003) and hit the opposing goal once.
