Marcin Krzysztof Horecki (born February 8, 1977 ) is a professional Polish poker player .

Personal

Horecki comes from Warsaw . He was a member of Poland 's national alpine ski team and won several medals both as a youth and as an adult. After he had to end his sports career due to an injury, he completed a bachelor's and master's degree and then worked in the financial industry. At the same time he started playing the trading card game Magic: The Gathering , which ultimately brought him to poker .

Poker career

Horecki started playing on the online platform PokerStars under the nickname Goral and was part of Team PokerStars until the end of 2017 . Since 2006 he has also regularly participated in live tournaments .

In June 2008 Horecki was the first time in the World Series of Poker in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and died in a tournament variant No-Limit Hold'em the money. In October 2008 he won the Main Event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in London in third place and won a prize of more than 300,000 British pounds . He repeated this success in December 2010, when he again finished third at the EPT Main Event in Prague and received 247,000 euros for it .

In total, Horecki earned almost 1.5 million US dollars with poker in live tournaments .
