Marco Halber

Marco Halber (born October 18, 1966 in Cologne ) is a German neurologist and professor of general business administration and management in the health sector at the SRH Fernhochschule .

Life

After studying medicine at the University of Cologne, he first worked as a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Neurological Research and later at the Center for Neurology and Psychiatry at the University of Cologne. In 1995 he received his doctorate there on the subject of computer-aided evaluation of positron emission tomography of the human brain through automatic identification of anatomical brain structures . In 2000 he was recognized as a specialist in neurology , in 2001 the additional title of medical informatics and in 2003 the additional title of medical quality management .

From 2003 to 2009 he was head of the quality management department of the hospital board at the University Hospital Tübingen . From 2004 to 2007 he studied health and social economy (elective health management) at the SRH Fernhochschule Riedlingen with a degree in business administration . He then took over the management of the Southwest German Tumor Center - Comprehensive Cancer Center Tübingen and later became managing director of the SRH Kurpfalzkrankenhaus Heidelberg .

In 2015, Halber was appointed Professor of Health Care Management at the SRH Fernhochschule - The Mobile University .
