Marco Kaufmann (born April 17, 1975 in Pasewalk ) is a German painter and photographer . He lives and works in Berlin .
biography
Kaufmann studied art / painting and photography at the Halle University of Art and Design from 2001 to 2004 and at the Berlin-Weissensee School of Art from 2004 to 2006 with Hanns Schimansky , Katharina Grosse and Werner Liebmann . Appointed by Hanns Schimansky in 2007. From 2002 to 2007 he was a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation . He received the Nafög young talent grant from the Berlin Senate and the DAAD travel grant for his photographic project “Anrandungen”, along the European external border in the east, from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary to Romania. His artistic commitment was also awarded a working grant from the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 2001 and 2010 .
