Marco d'Eramo

Marco d'Eramo (born 1947 in Rome ) is an Italian journalist.

Life

Marco d'Eramo is the son of the fascist philosophy teacher and right-wing Hegelian Pacifico d'Eramo and the writer Luce d'Eramo . The parents' marriage broke up and Marco d'Eramo lived with his mother. In the early 1960s, d'Eramo moved to Glashütten im Taunus for a while , where he learned German.

D'Eramo studied theoretical physics in Rome. He later studied with the sociologist Pierre Bourdieu at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris and then worked as a journalist. D'Eramo wrote primarily for the newspaper Il Manifesto , of which he was one of the founders and for which he headed the international department and stayed as a correspondent in the USA . In 2012, Rossana Rossanda , he and other authors left the paper. He writes for taz , New Left Review and MicroMega and lives in Rome.

In 2016, D'Eramo expressed himself very skeptically in the magazine Lettre International about the referendum scheduled for 2017 in Turkey and drew a comparison between the government of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Mussolini's model of rule .
