Marcus Aemilius Lepidus (Praetor 218 BC)
Marcus Aemilius Lepidus was a politician and senator in the 3rd century BC. Chr. In the Roman Republic . He was probably the father of the successful M. Aemilius Lepidus.
Career
He was born in 218 BC. Elected to the office of praetor and failed two years later with his application for the Roman consulate . Other possible offices were those of preator suffectus 216 BC. BC and preator peregrinus 213 BC According to Livy, Lepidus fought against the spread of foreign cults during his political career.
